GitHub Ticket Sync

Effective Date: January 12, 2026

1. Introduction

GitHub Ticket Sync (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a service provided by Oldroyd Digital Developer Solutions Inc. The App integrates Zendesk and GitHub to help teams keep support tickets and development issues synchronized.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, how it is used, and how it is protected when you use GitHub Ticket Sync.

2. Information We Access and Process

GitHub Ticket Sync only accesses the minimum data required to provide its functionality.

2.1 Account and Authentication Information

When you install and authorize the App, we may access limited account information from Zendesk and GitHub, such as:

  • Organization or account identifiers
  • User identifiers and roles
  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens

This information is used solely for authentication, authorization, and operation of the service. We do not collect or store passwords.

2.2 Zendesk Data

When authorized, the App may access and process:

  • Zendesk ticket IDs
  • Ticket subject lines
  • Ticket status and metadata
  • Internal (private) ticket comments created by the App

The App does not read or store customer-facing ticket content beyond what is required to post internal notes.

2.3 GitHub Data

When connected to GitHub, the App may access and process:

  • Repository name and owner
  • Issue URLs, issue numbers, titles, and status
  • Issue and pull request comments metadata
  • Pull request state changes related to linked issues

The App does not access GitHub source code contents and does not monitor repositories beyond events required for synchronization.

2.4 Event Processing (Webhooks)

GitHub Ticket Sync subscribes to webhook events (such as issue updates, issue comments, and pull request changes) solely to detect relevant changes and synchronize them with linked Zendesk tickets.

Webhook data is processed only for this purpose.

2.5 Data Retention

We retain only the minimum data necessary to operate the service, such as identifiers linking Zendesk tickets to GitHub issues.

Data is retained only while:

  • The integration is active, and
  • Access permissions remain authorized

Data is deleted when:

  • The App is uninstalled
  • Access is revoked
  • A customer requests deletion

  • Provide and operate GitHub Ticket Sync
  • Authenticate and authorize users
  • Synchronize GitHub issue activity with Zendesk tickets
  • Ensure reliability, security, and correct operation of the service
  • Respond to support requests and service-related communications

We do not use data for advertising, profiling, analytics tracking, or resale.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security practices, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS
  • Secure storage of access tokens and secrets
  • OAuth 2.0 authentication flows
  • Restricted access to production systems

We never request or store Zendesk or GitHub account passwords.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your data.

We may share limited data only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting services) strictly for operating the App, under confidentiality obligations
